What you can expect
Salt Mine is located just a short distance from Krakow, and it’s a UNESCO World Heritage Site offering an extraordinary glimpse into the world of salt mining, combined with underground artistry.
As you descend into the depths, you’ll traverse many corridors and rooms. One of the mine’s most stunning feature is the Chapel of St. Kinga, a subterranean church adorned with chandeliers and sculptures, all crafted from salt.
The Salt Mine is not only a historical monument but also a health resort. The mine’s microclimate is known for its health benefits, particularly for respiratory conditions. It’s a great alternative for hot, cold or rainy days (but not limited to!) for its steady temperature of 14 Celsius degrees and soothing, therapeutic climate.
